Question for Medill Students

Seems like a lot communications and j-schools tend to be pretty liberal. I've seen professors roll their eyes when mentioning conservative media outlets like FOX News. Would you say this is true for Medill?

They don’t roll their eyes because Fox News is perceived as conservatively biased. They roll their eyes because it is not a legitimate news source.

You mean because they THINK it is not a legitimate news source. I am in no way a supporter of Fox News, but people love to criticise it simply because it is the main conservative station – much the same way I love to criticise Keith Olbermann for being a liberal-spewing mouthpiece… oh, wait. I mean “not a legitimate news source”… oh wait, he used to be on SportsCentre… so that makes him completely qualified to do what he does. Right. That’s another reason I left Medill

wow so bitter. i’m guessing Medill profressors were that much liberal?

What you say about Fox news is perhaps true… i also feel it gets bashed on way too much, although they do have their ridiculous moments. CNN and friends (aka liberal media) have their faux pas’ as well.

But still, nothing beats Bill O’Reilly. WE’LL DO IT LIVE!! xD
