Question for people who have changed high schools

So when you guys applied to universities/colleges in the U.S., how did you get your official transcript to the universities?

Do you call your old school(s) and ask them to send a copy of your transcript to each university you're applying to, or do you call your old school(s) to forward the transcript to your current high school and just ask your current high school to send your combined transcript to all the colleges you want to apply to?

I hope this made sense and I hope some of you guys can shed some light on this issue.

You can ask them to send it directly to the college where you apply or to your address. In my case, I gathered all the transcripts then sent them together with my application.

You can call them and they will mail it to your colleges and universities for you. I live near my old high school, though, so I am just going to collect them and mail them myself (I plan on mailing all my paper pieces in one big 9x12 envelope).

Well I guess I will call my old schools to let them mail the transcript to me, so I can make copies and send them to separate colleges
