Okay, I know the sGPA consists of all the BCMP classes but is the cumulative GPA calculated using all classes (including BCMP) or all non-BCMP classes? I thought I saw somewhere where it is all the non-BCMP classes so I am trying to verify which is correct.

Looks to me like cumulative gpa includes BCMP classes:

Everything. The “other” GPA people talk about is “AO” for “All Other”.

So do MS’s evaluate the AO GPA at all or just the cGPA and sGPA?

not directly but if you evaluate those two you inherently evaluate AO since cGPA is dependent on sGPA and AO.

Gotcha, thanks.

Strictly speaking, it is AMCAS which calculates your GPA, not med schools. Actually, it is the student who calculates the GPA, and then AMCAS verifies it and possibly recalculates it if they think the student does not do it right.

Each year, depending on when the applicant submits his/her application and transcripts, it could take quite a long time before the verification process is completed and the med schools can download it from AMCAS. Each year, many students regret they do not submit their application early enough to “beat the crowd.”
