Question on sending in SAT scores for UC application

I still have my Dec 5th SAT I coming up. I'm wondering for the UC application do I send in my old SAT I scores first? Will sending my SAT score to one UC count for the rest of the UCs that I am applying to? Thank you.

Must send official scores to each UC to which you are applying. You can designate applicable UCs for sending your Dec scores and all scores will be sent when Dec scores come out. In other words, you can send now and also later,l or wait and send all with Dec test score.

Can anyone confirm if you have to send your SAT to all UC campuses?

This is what my counselor told me:

“When an applicant sends his or her official test score to any UC campus, the test record is sent to the University’s central application processing center and all other UC campuses to which the student has applied for admission also will receive the scores as official.”

When I go on the UC website: [University of California Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/examination_reqs.html) it says just the opposite.

Can anyone confirm which one is the accurate one?

You should always assume that a college’s website is correct above what your counselor says. But I do know independently that you have to send your scores to all UC campuses.

I believe that the UCs are in the process of changing from sending scores to all campuses to having the campuses share one set of scores. We got the same communication from our GC saying we could now just send in one set of scores. It was moot in our case since the scores had already been sent.

^ This is correct.

“Note: Freshman applicants for fall 2010 must arrange to have official score reports sent to UC by December 2009. If you report your scores to one campus, they will be shared with all campuses you have applied to.”

I guess they just changed it?

WOW that is good to know. A lot of money will be saved.

Good info!
