Question on STARTING OVER my senior year....please help!

<p>Hi guys, this is my post here in awhile, so if I posted in the wrong spot please just move it and/or let me know.</p>

<p>Anyways, I'll try and keep this as short and simple as possible. First, I'll post my question/dilemma/situation, and then include some current academic background afterwards. My question focuses on a desire to learn a new subject and move towards a different career field and is not grade-based (I've done well in Accounting at UF).</p>

<p>SITUATION/QUESTION:
This past year I started questioning if I wanted to stay on track for my current field, Accounting. I recently came to the conclusion that I would like to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering (focusing on the branch of Astronautics and other related disciplines). As the background paragraph will describe below, I am one semester away from attaining my Bachelor's in Accounting.</p>

<p>I was wondering what the ensuring application/admissions process was for someone in my situation here. Would I be applying to colleges in the same way as if I were a freshman?? I've taken no previous engineering-track courses, so I don't see how I'd qualify as a transfer (especially since I will have ALREADY gotten my Bachelors in Acc.). Is it even possible to do what I'm talking about and apply for admission at a new school and take classes as if I were a freshman, as in, do colleges even allow this sort of thing (I see it no different as if I were in my 30s "going back to school")?</p>

<p>I am very passionate about making this change to Aerospace after I get my Bachelor's this December and just want to know what my options are for going down this path to a full Aerospace Engineering degree.</p>

<p>BACKGROUND:
I am currently a rising senior at the University of Florida as an Accounting major, History minor. I've done relatively well grade-wise, currently having a 3.84 overall GPA and a 3.26 core accounting classes GPA (both out of 4.00). I am on pace to finish my college's advanced degree program (called the Accounting 3/2) and graduate in Spring of 2012 with my MASTERS in Accounting. I can also finish with a BACHELORS at the end of the upcoming semester, Fall 2010.</p>

<p>Go for it. Make sure that if you get the accounting degree that you don’t lose financial aid eligibility for further undergraduate study.</p>
