<p>Since Berkeley's CoE is one of the best three in the US (Berkeley, Stanford, MIT), is it true that applying to Berkeley CoE is as hard as applying to MIT and Stanford?</p>

<p>No, it's not as hard to get into as MIT or Stanford. Some engineering majors are harder than others, though. EECS, for instance, is particularly difficult.</p>
<p>Not as hard, although for some majors, it's lower than the overall acceptance rate of the whole school.</p>
