Question regarding legacy status

Kind of an odd question, but:

You know how when a women goes to a sperm bank she can select characteristics, such as blonde hair, tall, went to Harvard, etc.?

Would the child in such a situation receive legacy priority when applying to Harvard?

Wow, I can't wait to see what other people say. I would they the kid would, but there would have to be proper documentation.

Lol. ;D

Good question..

hm. goes back to the question on nature vs. nurture does the DNA provide excellent education or does the parenting? lol

Probably not. The whole legacy status boost in admissions is aimed to please alumnis and to kinda boost loyalty/alumni donation rates. Genetic relatives that attended Harvard doesn't mean much if they are not the actual parents who will not be donating the money.

The whole legacy preferrence thing is for the money.
