I've heard the horrors of social life at Harvard so I was wondering if Harvard students hang out with students from other colleges in/around Boston. For example, going to BC or BU parties.

We've addressed this issue before, but I'll reiterate. Yes, we do- but not at the school you might think. BU's party scene is fairly lame, actually, and BC's a little far for most people to bother with. The school that throws the best parties is MIT- it has a great frat houses. (I know, I was surprised when I first learned that too.) Seriously- that's where students at BU and most other colleges go- MIT frats.

My girlfriend goes to BU, I have friends at MIT and Northeastern, and it's easy to interact with other colleges. However, plenty of people choose never to leave the campus. The "horrors" of Harvard's social life are largely exaggerated, though the lack of fraternity houses is irritating (finals clubs don't cut it). So it's completely up to you how much you want to interact with other schools.
