Question Regarding SAT Scores

So I took the SAT recently and got full points on the essay. However, I want to raise my composite score. I am taking the SAT again in a week, but without the essay (because why take it again if there is no room for improvement?). Say I get a higher composite score–will colleges that require the essay still take my higher composite score into account even though it does not include the essay? The college I’m talking about in particular is UMich, but I guess this question extends to all colleges in general. I will obviously still send my SAT score with the essay, but I am wondering if they will take my (most likely) higher score as well.

If a College requires SAT with essay, then your 2nd SAT without the essay will not be considered.

It depends on the school. Many schools that require the essay score want it to be from the same sitting.
