<p>are the people, who apply during the ED period, not eligible to get <em>Need Based</em> FA? Is it mandatory that for recieving FA, you HAVE TO apply during the regular decisions period?

<p>Harvard is not ED, it’s EA. This means decisions in the early action round are non-binding. One of the reasons they have EA as opposed to ED is so that more students can apply early and not worry about the financial difficulties of attending. They obviously want a lot of the EA students to enroll in their school, so I’d imagine they offer financial aid.</p>
