question

just got something in the mail from Lake Forest asking me to say if I'd like them to use my SAT scores in admissions and also to sign and verify my name and highschool.
Is it bad I'm just now getting this? I submitted my application almost a month ago.
Did anyone else get this?
Also, for anyone who's been admitted other years, how long does it usually take to get a decision from this point?

I got that earlier this week, as well. I submitted mine's about a month and a half ago but I don't think it's bad they're just now sending it. Maybe they're just now evaluating applicants? Or now deciding scholarships? I'm not sure, to be honest... just hazarding a guess. GL!

Does anyone know when to expect EA admissions decisions?

According to the website, January 20th. So sometime in the next two weeks :)

I keep hoping it will come sooner...

don't forget that SAT and ACT are optional
scores determine the amount of scholarship given

hey veganactress,
i noticed that you've visited LFC also like i have but i only got a tour by an alum during thanksgiving break. i'm jw what where the classes like if you've sat in a class?
thanks =]

I really enjoyed my class. it was an upper-level shakespeare class, and the professor seemed very knowledgeble about the topic. all the students seemed to really like the class as well. it was done in a typical LAC style, around a table, but there was a second row of students because the table wasn't quite big enough (I think there were around 25 students). It was fairly discussion based, but the professor did have students raise their hand and had them each talk in order... which meant the discussion occaisonally changed topics before everyone had actually talked. it was definitely a more structured discussion than many of the other LACs I've visited.

Pretty much all the students I met loved the school (I thought it was slightly strange that out of the 6 students I talked to all were freshman...)
The students I ate lunch with said in one of her classes there was only one public school kid, the rest were from prep or other private schools (which was in general the impression I got about the students).

Where else are you applying nicesocks?
