Is UWisc extremely hard? Hows the workload for biology and premed?

I dont know if it is worth anything but this is what I found at CampusDirt.com

Students share about the curriculum

Similar to any engineering field, my curriculum is very math, science, and statistics oriented. In my upper level engineering courses there is very high competition to get good grades, but the professors are usually able to feel who actually deserves a good grade.

Exam Weeks can be very overwhelming. Especially if all of your classes happen to have midterms in one week. Then I will find myself only studying and not sleeping or eating at all. When there are not exams, the course load is very manageable. I normally only do an hours worth of work a day, or will save it all for the weekend. A lot of work also just varies with the class. A political science class I took last semester I literally did nothing out of class except a couple days before the midterm and final. That semester I also took a Spanish class that required an hours worth of work a night. It all depends.

It is well known for its difficulty, but getting through a class creates a great feeling of accomplishment.

"Wow! Theres a reason this is known as a hard school. Because it is! You have to study your butt off for the classes, especially if you're a science major (which I am). The science courses here are known to be extremely difficult. Homework amounts can be absolutely insane, but that depends on your professor plan on doing a lot of homework. This is not a school where you can slack off, at least in the sciences and math. Work hard, play hard!

It is very broad, with professors who really know a lot about what is going on in the world.

It is very demanding but I expected that as a returning adult and I also work full time.

Last semester's curriculum was quite difficult (I'm a freshman and 2 of my 4 courses were for upperclassmen). This semester, my courses are more manageable and coincidentally more interesting.

Mostly math and science, not many easy classes.
