Questions about admission to JMU

I've applied to james madison university and had a couple of questions that are unclear to me about admission.

first of all, will the admission officers see the 1st semester grades of senior year before making admission decisions?

and secondly, i'm pretty sure that JMU doesn't consider the writing section of the SAT but for some reason the average score for the writing section is given by collegeboard for JMU.
Does the writing section have any influence or is it completely ignored? (unfortunately i scored much better on the writing section).

thank you.

well for me, I sent them my first marking period grades and my first semester grades were not available until after the EA decision was made. So for RD they will probably see the grades. Also JMU doesnt put much factor into the writing section but im a good writing score couldnt hurt.
