Questions about Harvard

Hello, I am deciding between Harvard and Caltech for undergrad majoring in EECS. I have a few questions about Harvard and would really appreciate any input!

-How flexible is MIT involvement from Harvard? I heard that while cross-registration is easy, actually getting to MIT is inconvenient and the schedules do not align well, in addition to the fact that you can’t take MIT courses freshman year. Can you join MIT clubs/student organizations?

-How easy is it to find undergraduate research in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science during the academic year? During summer?

-Does Harvard give you an advantage in terms of transferring to MIT?

Your take on classes is my experience. No one I ever knew did it. I’m not sure about clubs, but I’d expect it’d be about the same deal.

Undergrad research opportunities in the sciences are very good. Don’t know about EE/CS specifically, but very good in general. Don’t know how it would compare to Caltech though.
