<p>I am assuming I have accepted my financial aid statement online, in which the status page reads, "We have completed a review of your application and you have been awarded financial aid."</p>
<p>Now, I have been prompted to sign a "U.S. Department of Education's Master Promissory Note for the Direct Loan program". However, I'm not sure whether or not to sign for a student loan or PLUS loan. The financial aid I'm receiving includes an unsub. stafford loan as well as a parent plus loan.</p>
<p>I have a college adviser who says I need to sign for both notes, but I'd like second opinions. Also, do I need to sign it by May 1st? Or is there no deadline?</p>
