questions about occidental

i'm a sophomore at pepperdine thinking about transfering to occidental and i have some questions.
1st How political are the professors and the classes in general, particularly in the classics, philosophy, literature, politics and economics departments, basically the humanities and social sciences departments. i'm fairly liberal but i really prefer the classroom to be apolitical, i think it distracts from academics to talk about how bad republicans are and i also feel kind of bad for republicans here even at pepperdine because in my english class they're ridiculed and really just ostracized.
2nd How friendly is the student body? Have they formed tight cliques that won't let anyone in? How is the dating scence, I'm a guy.
3rd How would you describe the rigor of the academics in the departments list above? Heavy reading or light, lots of class discussions or not so much?
4th How's the quality of life in general, are parking permits hard to come by, does the student body abandon the campus during the weekends and go to their parent's house, are the dorms comfy for the most part, what about the exercise facilities and swimming pools?
5th How is the library, is it big?
6th How many clubs are there, anything for the outdoorsy type?
thanks

Hey, sorry no one has answered your post, I saw alot of people have viewed it already. I can't answer all of your questions but for the most part I heard that everybody is friendly but transfering in would be hard (especially since this is a really small school), but if you get involved in clubs and stuff it shouldn't be a huge problem. Also I heard that parking permits are not hard to get at all and that their's enough parking space for everyone.
I'm not sure about the outdoorsy type clubs question but I know that every year Occidental has a club day where all the club representatives come out with tables and such to recruit people to clubs. They have a surf/snowboarding club, a cycling club, a sailing club, and a rock climbing club. However there might be more that I don't know about.
OH, and most people are lean towards the left. I'm not sure if they shove it down others people's throat though, it just depends on the person. But yes it seems like people on the right probably get into some arguements.
