Hi guys! I’m an incoming international Revelle student, and I’m a little concerned about Revelle’s GE requirements. As a non-native speaker, I’m really worried about HUM sequences, which contain “intensive college-level writing”. Besides, I’m going to take Computer Science screening courses, which are also time-consuming and stressful. I’ll try my best, but I still doubt if I can maintain a 3.7 GPA at least.
So, here are my questions for Revellers. How many pages of books (on average) do you need to read every week for HUM classes? When do you get up and go to bed when you are in UCSD? What are the mandatory books for HUM classes (Odyssey is one of them for sure)? Thank you for your answers and I really appreciate it!
Since your an international student did you pass the ELWR? if not you will probably take AWP instead of HUM on your first year. You’ll take HUM classes on your sophomore year
@iLoveLuffy Hi! In order to satisfy the ELWR requirement, I plan to take the Analytical Writting Placement Test in September after I arrived in the United States. To be honest, the ELWR is not an easy job for me, and I do spend my time preparing for it. Any advice on the ELWR? Thanks!
