Can we make this thread a thread about asking all the questions we have on Tulane? I already asked many people many questions about Tulane but one I forgot to ask was how are the parties and social life at Tulane. Are the partis frat/sorority parties? Are the parties at the boot? What is the boot exactly?

The Boot is a bar just off the Tulane campus. The parties are not held there, frat parties are at the frats or at various locations around NOLA that are rented out for the event.

Yes there are frat houses and sorority houses. Some boys choose to live in the frat houses. The girls are not allowed to live in the sorority houses (LA law!). I’m a mom so I can’t give much more detail regarding the parties. My daughter is a senior and loves her life at Tulane and in NOLA.
Just and FYI the drinking age in NOLA is 21 and the NOPD have been very aggressive this year in handing out MIP’s (Minor in Possession). There was a lot of concern early in the year with the amount of binge drinking at Tulane and the Administration and TUPD are taking it very seriously and cracking down.
