<p>On the fin aid app for UPENN, student is asked to list amounts of $ that can be contributed from parent income/assets, student assets, student summer 2011 earnings (Estimated Resources). Ok so the earnings is obviously a questimation. But the other 2 or confusing because the next question (Student Financial Information) asks student to list assets in student's name from a list of sources-- parents (?), earnings. They are asking for educational saving plans such as 529s. </p>
<p>We have one 529 account and educational (coverdell) ira. They are in my name with D listed as beneficiary, so they are not listed in D's name, but will be used for her education.</p>
<p>Are they listed in Estimated Resources because that's where parent contribution comes from? Are they listed in parent source in Student Financial Information?</p>
<p>Then under Parent Debt, it asks for info on first and second mortgages/home equity loan but nothing about home equity line of credit which we have with a small balance. </p>
<p>Does anyone here have experience with filling this form out?</p>
