USC is my #1 right now and the school spirit is a major draw, of course. Does anyone have experiences with the weekenders to Stanford, Berkeley, or Notre Dame? If so, how does that go about? Does the school provide transportation and/or lodging? If I end up going to SC that’s something I definitely want to take part in!
USC doesn’t provide transportation/lodging for the weekender, most people carpool and stay with friends. People in Greek organizations often stay with the respective fraternities/sororities at Cal, I’m not sure about Stanford.
Also, only Stanford & Cal are usually referred to as the weekender.
With Notre Dame, a few people fly out, sometimes just to see the band perform at Navy Pier, but getting to South Bend is complicated, so it’s mostly alumni there.
Alternatively, you can join the band and travel to both places for free!
