So I was recently accepted to the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Ecology, Evo. and Nat. Resources, will %100 be my major. Can anyone tell me about it? Is it fun, interesting, challenging?

To graduates of the major: are you well-of (or at least ok)?

I plan on going straight through to Rutgers Graduate School for my PhD in Ecology and Evolution by the way. Does this major prepare me for that? Also, I'll be in a decent amount of debt, are there any scholarships for this major, internships, and research opportunities that could help out?

Also, is it worth four years of doing something that I love, only to be screwed over after I graduate and be drowning in debt? -_- I mean, in the long run, I feel as though this could be in high demand. After all, our world is going through two things: a technological boom AND an ecological disaster...so I could either be a computer engineer (I HATE computers), or major in EENR and go on to graduate school in a similar field. Also, Bio related fields are growing two times faster than most other jobs.

I just don't want to be one of those people who looks back and says "what was I thinking???" like that Yahoo article about that girl from Northeastern who's $200,000 with a bachelor's degree in sociology 0.o (My debt won't be nearly that bad, but still...)
