@websensation, I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I saw an announcement from Stanford today that they’re replacing the cancelled program in Beijing with one in Hong Kong, starting in Autumn of 2019, with no language requirement.
@Mom2jl Yes, I did. Good news for internship opportunities. Thanks. I can see that they chose HK due to alumni support and financial internship positions.
How are 4 classes dorms for a freshman? Best of both worlds or not good for freshman? Do they still put you in a room with other freshman? My kid is a freshman but he took a gap year. Pros and cons.
My son lived in a single in a four-class dorm (Roble) during his senior year, but my understanding is that around 50% of students in those dorms are freshmen, so there’s still a large community of new students. These dorms tend to be quieter than all-freshman dorms. My son lived in FroSoCo both his freshman and sophomore years, which he liked precisely because it was quieter than some of the all-freshman dorms. As I understand it, freshmen will always room with other freshmen.
@websensation I don’t know if you’ve seen this page, but it talks about all the different housing options for incoming freshmen and has some helpful info:
