Questions

I'd like to see enrollment rayes and syllabi for some particular classes... is there a way for me to get enrollment rates for classes if I'm not a student?

Also I'd like more info on careeres of alums... but I think you have to be a student for that...

From here you can see how many people are enrolled for various classes this semester:

You can see the course catalog on line (linked from the web site) with class descriptions.

The link nngmm provided will let you see the enrollment cap and current enrollment of any Swarthmore course. At this point in the semester the enrollment numbers will be pretty accurate (plus or minus 1 or 2).

Syllabi require a little more legwork. Most professors use the "Blackboard" system on the school's internal network for posting syllibi, assignments, grades, comments, etc. Those can only be accessed from inside the Swat network.

In other cases, you can find a syllibi from a professors links on the department webpages. Click ACADEMICS from the Swat main web page, then click the department of interest. From there, find the faculty list and see if there is a link to the professor's webpage. From there, you might find a link to "courses".

For example, here is more than you can ever want to know about John Boccio's Physics 006H course for freshman Physics majors:

Sometimes, you will find syllabi elsewere. For example, Tim Burke recently posted the syllabi and some of his thinking about his "Image of Africa" course on his blog:
