Quick Opinion: Marist EA Situation

So I want to apply to Marist EA, and I know their stats aren't "that" high, but they have a fairly large applicant pool.

My ECs are pretty great and I'm a strong applicant in every respect BESIDES my SAT scores. We're talking 1700-1800ish.

I'm taking the ACT in Dec, but those scores won't be considered for EA since the deadline is Dec 1st (I already asked). So this is what I need opinions on...

1) Apply anyway for Dec 1st EA (I'll get a decision in mid-Jan, which may help my nerves/other apps if accepted)
2) Wait and apply RD with new ACT scores which MAY or MAY NOT surpass my SAT scores and get a reply sometime in March-ish, I believe.

Yeah, just vote, 1 or 2. Post opinions if need be. Yknow I like 'em...

1) you're an average candidate in terms of SAT scores, but good in everything else? go for it

I would definitely go for it. It looks like the middle 50% SAT is in the 1600 to 1700 range so you appear to be higher than that. Besides that's only one thing they look at and you said you have a strong application otherwise.

I think I will. I'm really addicted to this thing called the "Submit" button.

It feels so delicious and liberating.
