Quicktakes

is it okay to have fun with the quicktakes?

Yes, I say to have fun with nearly everything relating to a college application. Especially something snappy like quick takes-- you can say a lot about your personality which is hard to get across in an essay. Just be honest.

Ooh yes, most definitely have fun with those! That's what they're for, really. Just don't get too carried away and submit some inappropriate answers. :o

During lunch at orientation, one of the higher-ups (I don't remember who he was) read the funniest quick takes that they received. I believe one of the answers to "favorite food" was spam. :)

My daughter's answer to "Favorite Possession" was her Disneyland Annual Passport, LOL.

At the luncheon we attended for accepted students, USC made kinda a big deal over these. I think its a way to get to know the student versus just asking "typical" questions. They are fun, so have fun with them!

My daughter's answer to her "favorite possession" was her gymnastics medals (all 200 of them). It was a pleasant surprise when they read her quick take aloud at the luncheon.
