Raise Your Hand If You Are Applying Fall 2008! YAY!

gpa: 4.0

UW is not my first choice. It's a great school and completely gorgeous and I love Seattle but sort of want to go out of state. I mean I've hung out on the ave since middle school. I want to be somewhere else for a change. But instate tuition is so so much cheaper so I decided that I'm only applying to schools I'm totally in love with, and since many of them are reaches, I'll probably end up at UW. Which is fine, because the uw is amazing.

Wow that was long and rambley...

How's the on-campus housing situation?

I'm totally with onmytiptoes. I love UW and Seattle, but it's a little... familiar. However, I still love the school and I know that I'd be perfectly happy there. So I guess I'm okay with everything. I just hope they let me in... what if they think that I'm using them as a safety?

i think if u applied by the dec. 1st date u'd be fine. that shows some interest in the university and not like it's some second-thought safety school.

im in the same boat as onmytiptoes and whirlybird. UW is just under an hour away from my house, so it doesn't have that zing to it that the thought of going to some school outa state does. But when it comes down to it, 10 months from now when I'm getting ready to go off to college, the only place I really want to be heading is towards the purple and gold.

edit: and to answer 20Legend, the dorms arent the largest in the world, but every freshman is guaranteed housing. i'd suggest that when the housing apps. come out u get urs in asap so u can get one of ur top choices.
