I have a 4.03 weighted GPA taking all honors and ap classes possible… I scored a 2040 on my SAT And applying to BC, BU, UCLA, And others along those lines with a couple of lower level schools. I was wondering not if I would get into these colleges, but if I’m looking in the right direction in terms of colleges. I headed a campaign for cancer and raised $115000 with 4 other classmates and will be on television. I was wondering if this is just a bolster to my scores or if it actually raises me above what I would normally go for. Any advice would be appreciated
It is very crucial for people diagnosed with cancer.
crucial for helping out those with cancer, not so much with the sole purpose of getting accepted to colleges.
I mean…it kinda takes the charity out of it if you just do it for your college application. But it would be a good thing to mention if you can do it a non-entitled way.
Thanks for the replies… I’m not using it as a tool to get me into getting into colleges because I think that my current grades are good enough to help get me into the schools I would want to go to. I was simply just wondering if it mattered because I get a lot of different opinions when it is brought up.
