Hello, I am just curious to know what the rank is for undergraduate Civil Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I've combed the web and found only the graduate ranking, which doesn't help. A phone call to the Chairman of the place resulted with him saying that civil engineering rankings don't apply to UMD College Park Undergrad; seems like a lie to me.

I would sincerely appreciate any assistance I can get, because my brother is trying to settle down for a major at the university and time is running short.

Somebody please assist

University of Maryland - College Park is not ranked in the top 24 undergraduate Civil Engineering programs.

let me add that as a hirer of UMD civil engineers, the school produces fine undergraduates as well as graduates. They compare well to the Penn Staters & Va Techies in abilities (this might be heresy if some of those co-worker Nittany Lions or Hokies heard me say that!) & are a bit more practical than JHU civil & env engineers. Its a big department with plenty of potential in study areas in transportation, environmental, geotech, structural, etc.

I've also had experience with chem e's & bioresource e's at UMCP....again, all fine engineers. Bottom line for your brother should be his interest areas IMO, because from my view at least the UMd engineering programs are fairly decent across the board.
