what are SEC schools?

While Duke is more fun than most other top schools, the girls here are very, very overrated - honestly, I spent a few weeks at (local state school) hanging out and the girls are amazing compared to Duke girls.

Of course, Duke's social scene is incredibly fun, I'm just pointing out that the aesthetic girl quality is surprisingly low given Duke stereotypes. However, there are UNC/State girls are nearby as well.

The obvious answers, based on the top states winning the Miss America and Miss USA pageants, are Univ. Texas, U. No. Carolina, USC, U. Florida and U. Alabama. Where there is sun.

Vanderbilt, nobody else even comes close in the "top 20".

Explain to me the process by which Vandy, or any other college campus, would attract and admit applicants who do not fit the normal curve of human physical attractiveness that applies everywhere else on the planet?

^^ exactly my thoughts...

^perhaps Vandy is known for frat parties and that tends to attract girls that like to party and to make themselves look prettier and hotter? But then maybe they tend to be more superificial (less pretty inside)? Just my speculation.

I wouldn't be surprised if Division I sports had to do with it. For instance, people who are more into sports probably place a higher emphasis on staying fit and looking healthy.

Berkeley and Stanford have a lot of hot Asian girls. And they're smart too. The Asian girls at Berkeley and Stanford have it all -- they're hot & sexy, but also very intelligent and self-confident. Caucasian girls at Berkeley are kinda fugly though (Stanford has a few cute ones, but the Asian girls are Stanford are much hotter).

Vanderbilt has many good looking Southern belles (who are also very intelligent -- and down to Earth).

Northwestern has its share of both hot Asian and Caucasian girls.

Penn has a lot of hot tamales too -- both of Asian and Caucasian variety. All the Philly nightclubs are dominated by hot female Penn students.

"All the Philly nightclubs are dominated by hot female Penn students."

HAHAH as a resident of a nearby town, this is one of the most hilarious comments made on this board.

Temple, Drexel, UArts, among lots of other colleges have the majority of students and most of the hot girls in Philly. Thats not even counting the girls who aren't students but live in Philly. Penn girls aren't that great looking (as with any top school - looks<academics) and there aren't many of them.

If by "all the Philly nightclubs" you mean the "2-3 lamer ones that only Penn students go to" you may be right, but as someone who has been out in Philly probably >100 times, there aren't all that many Penn girls (let alone cute ones) out at Philly nightclubs.

I've stopped by several of these nightclubs and bars (Drinker's is the primary one), and most of the females I've conversed with "claimed" they were UPenn students.

Then again, I admit that I didn't ask for their student IDs and just "took" their word for it. Maybe they're Villanova kids pretending to be UPenn kids?

I hardly see any Drexel girls out and about during the nightlife though. I see a ton of Villanova and St. Joe's people, and you're right, a TON of UArts students hang out at the pubs.

I suppose that I am somewhat prejudiced because my daughter goes to the University of Chicago, but my daughter has always been considered to be quite attractive by outside sources, has never had trouble finding boyfriends and I'm quite used to hearing complements on her appearance from all sorts of people. Frankly, this isn't important to her or to me, but I am somewhat bewildered by the generalization that Chicago girls are physically unattractive. I visit the campus often and I have been impressed by the variety of interesting looking women on campus. There are all sorts of women and not only are they interesting in appearance, but they are usually quite interesting in personality and friendliness as well. I live on the Yale campus and I would say that the woman at Yale are really not much different than those at Chicago. If you are looking for cheerleaders, well there may not be as many of those at Chicago, but still you will find plenty of wonderful women that men would be happy to get to know.

Yeah, that's probably the description I would use as well in reference to UChicago girls.;)

Iamyourfather,

I at first thought you were making a hypothetical statement about Penn instead of speaking to your own experience - apologies.

While I usually go out with my friends from Penn when we have non-overlapping breaks, most of the people (guys AND girls) are from other schools, and UArts girls are the best looking haha. I guess its the low-stress lifestyle or something.

You guys are on the right track.

It is common knowledge that hot girls flock to warm weather. That's why the hottest girls are mostly in the South or California/Arizona. Also a longer period of good weather allows for more activity and more revealing clothing.

lgellar got another reason that is commonly cited. Top athletic programs appeal to students who are into sports who in turn are more into body conditioning, etc, which in turn creates a more attractive student body.

Also, make sure it is not a school known for tech/sciences and more leaning towards liberal arts.

Yeah, that's actually a really good point.
