After browsing through many CC threads & searching on other sites, I've come to the conclusion that these neuroscience undergrad programs (listed below) are really reputable. If you guys could rank the ones I've listed (in terms of education quality, research, etc..just an overall good department) that'd be great.

In no particular order:

Brown
Johns Hopkins
Cornell
NYU
University of Michigan
University of Pittsburgh
Duke
UCLA
UCSD
UC Irvine
Brandeis
Boston U
Northwestern

Here is my wild guess:

This is not a very good method to select a department for college. You have identified universities that uniformly have great neuro departments. What you might want to do to differentiate between them is look at the specific courses each one offers (they won’t be identical). Ask current students what sort of research opportunities they have had. Find out where many of the grads end up, a year after college, 5 years and 10 years after college. Contact professors in the department and see how friendly they are if you express an interest in one of their classes or their research. Find out about the culture of department and the university in general. Is neuro a strong department in an otherwise weaker university? Is neuro a weaker department in an otherwise stronger cluster of biomedical science departments?
