Harold Camping said it had "dawned" on him that God would spare humanity "hell on Earth for five months" and the apocalypse would happen on 21 October.

BBC News - Rapture: Harold Camping issues new apocalypse date

His followers will start probably believe him, old bastard will probably be dead before it happens.

I shall hold my breath for that…:)

I hope the poor ■■■■■■■ dies before then. And I wish the stupid press would stop giving him so much attention.

This is just embarrassing. I’m a Christian, and I don’t even believe in the Rapture. It’s not even in the Bible! The old dude is just making millions off the backs of misled people.

I’m with you tofu. This guy is an embarrassment to Christianity. It says quite clearly in scripture that not even Jesus knows when the end times are, just the Father.
So, Harold Camping, ****.

But Harry, if the media didn’t give him attention, we’d have to report on real news!

omg I’m gonna be riding on a plane that day!! I’ll get to freefall to my death when the pilots get raptured.

But really, this is just horrible at this point. Other than the obvious lack of scientific evidence for any of this, it’s also against the Bible, which he’s using, to predict the end of the world.
Camping clearly has some sort of dementia, it’s embarrassing that his family isn’t doing something to get him away from this mess, and the problems it’s creating for the vulnerable people who believe him.
It sounds horrible, but the world will be better off when this man dies.

So is he just going to keep pushing the date back until it actually happens?

Does anyone remember the medieval term “heretic”? I think it applies to Camping.

PEOPLE. Matthew 24:36

Harold Camping hasn’t looked into the bible deep enough…

No, the original idea was the May 21 was Judgment Day with all of the good people being taken up into heaven. The October 21 would be the end of the world.

Now he’s saying that Judgment Day has already happened, just he was wrong that they would go to heaven on that day. Now he believes that everything will happen on October 21. He also said that since Judgment has already occurred he won’t advertise it any more.

This guy is hilarious. But I agree the media needs to stop giving him so much attention. Instead, the media should cover more about Obama’s car breaking down…

So we have already been judged and nothing we do in the next five months counts towards it?

^Yes, yes, yes. Now go and rob a bank and give me 10%

Who says I wouldn’t rob a bank even if I was being judged for it?

That would be the natural interpretation, yes.
