I am the average good student with good test scores and grades, along with millions of others. I am hoping my EC;s will move me up a little bit higher, but I really have no idea. I would appreciate any of your opinions on where my EC’s stand.

Academic:
Cum Laude 11, 12 (top 10 percent)
Mu Alpha Theta 10, 11, 12
Math Mentors 9-12, board member
Honor Council 11-12, board member
History Day Honorable Mention (for Los Angeles County) 11
Robotics 11-12, made it to quarterfinals in state of CA, All-girls robotics convention champions

Athletics:
Club volleyball 9, captain
Frosh-Soph volleyball 9, captain
Varsity volleyball 10-12, Coach’s award, captain 12
Swimming 10-12, most improved swimmer, captain 12

Community Service:
Youth board member for a teen shelter
Board member for a city-wide youth engagement initiative

Summer:
Research asst in brain tumor research (publishing pending) 10-12

Work:
Tutor 11-12
Clothing store 12

It seems that you are a good athlete but as you said, there are people out there with some BOMB ECs. So I would say ur ECs are a 6+

I’d say 7. Very solid and good for most places but nothing very standout that would look great to top 20 schools. Nice athletic commitment

Undetermined, because extracurriculars can not be measured with numbers :stuck_out_tongue: they are good anyway.

Seems like you’re doing everything well but nothing really stands out to me at the moment, so I’d say a pretty solid 7 (obviously if you have a story this will go up).

You come across as a smart student that does volunteer service/sports and some research, but where do you really stand out with your ECs?
