<p>Does the UC’s consider your actual academic GPA on the transcript or do they only look at UC GPA…yeah, it will actually come down to that for my acceptance (freshman yr = not that good)</p>
<p>For all but UCLA and Cal, they only look at UC GPA. The two top schools will look at UC GPA but also look at many factors, including total GPA, as they use a more holistic admissions process. If you are on the borderline, the actual GPA might make a difference, but then so can many other factors which might push you in the other direction, over the top.</p>
<p>uc’s only take into consideration your sophomore and junior year; they don’t look at freshmen year. They do, however, consider your senior year as well, but only to see whether or not you are slacking off, if you maintain their standards then it’ll be fine.
