Rats at Georgetown

I’ve seen rats scurrying outside new south and in the general Georgetown area. I don’t want to say it’s an infestation or a problem to the point where certain places are unlivable, but they’re there. I live in kennedy though, one of the newest dorms, and there aren’t any problems. Definitely try to snag SW quad to live in

This article was in yesterday’s issue of The Hoya. I’d be lying if I didn’t say this issue grosses me out and is a concern of mine if my D is accepted. I realize rats are in metropolitan areas. I am just not accustomed to the prevalence that they are seen in campus buildings and running around campus itself (and the mice problem in some dorms). Hope Georgetown ups their efforts as D.C. seems to be trying to.

@Winky1, our daughter had zero problem with rats or mice last year as a freshman on campus, but has had a mice issue this year as she is staying in a dorm about 3 blocks away from the main gates. In fact, I noticed tonight that she just bought a pack of mouse traps on my Amazon account. Overall, while annoying, she and her roommate have adjusted just fine and aren’t too bothered by the little squeekers.
