You don't need to get top marks for Bard...you just need to show them something. Although I've taken the most rigourous courseload at my private school, I've only got a 3.2 and I'm 32/177. However, I made sure to show Bard my talents and gifts and I played my hooks as much as possible. I'm a drummer, I love philosophy, and I'm a nationally ranked high school powerlifter. I'm sure that played a bigger part then my GPA.

Proud Dad, thanks--that really helped.

MLEVINE, your stats don't seem bad at all. Sure, your GPA is below average, but you still have a fairly high class rank. Obviously, your private school has grade deflation, thus affecting your GPA. How were your test scores?

I'm still trying to figure out the typical Bardian, having never visited the campus.

I dont think there is a typical Bardian...or I believe thats what they want you to think.

I had a 30 ACT and my SATIIs were 680 MI 610 MII 670 LIT.

There isn't a specific Bardian...just a bunch of liberal, free-thinking, highly talented intellectuals.

when will the decisions be mailed?

Decisions are mailed at the end of March.

I hate evasive answers. What does the "end of March" mean? The 20th? The 25th? the 27th? the 30th? ugh!!

i'm with u kev07wan... hate evasive answers... hehe

Better yet, which end? I guess it will have to be this one, 'cause it sure wasn't the other end. Last year's thread on this topic, such that it was, seemed to imply a mailing date of around 3/31 with receipts going well into April, FWIW.
