I'm applying for Science of Natural and Environmental Systems major.
SAT: 2260
SAT IIs: Took all science/math SAT IIs offered (except Bio-M). All over 740. Three are 800s.
GPA: 3.93 (UW), 4.56 (W)
Have 6 APs through junior year, and will have 11 upon graduation.

Fit for major:
Have done original science research in laboratories twice in environmental research.
First time I didn't do much. Second time, I was very involved and my research shows promise for future of climate change. I am being published with this research.
I do science competitions, mostly in the field of ecology/environmental science. I place usually 1st for local level, and within top 5 at state level. I have leadership positions in my schools math and science clubs. My community service includes "green" involvement.

I also have other laboratory experience through internships and research fellowships. I have gotten numerous awards for research, science and mathematics.

Hooks: None. White male from affluent area. Maybe research publication.

Thanks!

I’d say you’d have a pretty good shot.

Thanks for responding quickly Arctic. In addition to my chances, what would you say is a strong way to start my supplemental essay?
