RD Chances for a Minnesotan?

Hi guys, I am a white male from MN that is currently a junior in high school. I know it's tough to chance me without an ACT/SAT score, but I understand the importance of these tests and will study hard.

Academics:
-3.99 unweighted GPA
-Ranked 3/606 at my public high school
-AP Calc AB and AP US History as a sophomore, 3 AP's this year as a junior, Will take atleast 4 senior year, rest are honors
-Hoping for a 34 ACT, not sure if I'm going to take SAT, should I?

ECs:
-Secretary of NHS, will run for president senior year
-Leadership position in the third largest FCA in the state
-All-Conference CC runner, 16:35 5k, captain, trying to run at Washington!
-Currently a varsity basketball player.. considering quiting to focus more on track/CC, get a job, and start my own club (ideas??)
-All Conference track runner, hoping to be captain
-Teach Sunday School every Sunday
-Member of my school's top band

I am really looking to add some power to my ECs.. I am looking to start either a winter running club that does charity 5ks or a winter community service club. I am also planning on going to Boys State this summer! Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

You can’t seriously think you have any shot here with only a 3.99 unweighted GPA and ranked behind two others at your high school, can you? :P

All joking aside, your academics look solid. If you get a 33+ on the ACT, I don’t see the need to take the SAT. Otherwise, you might want to consider the SAT if you think that it might give you a better shot to succeed (e.g. if you find that you run out of time on the ACT, that is generally less of a problem on the SAT).

EC’s look decent overall. In my personal opinion, I don’t think you should feel obligated to quit basketball in order to improve your resume, if basketball is a passion of yours. If it’s not something you really care about, however, then I think your ideas for clubs are pretty nice. Colleges always like to see community service, and starting a running for charity club would really help show the depth of your passion for running. (I’m not necessarily suggesting that doing BOTH would be a good idea - I have no idea how time consuming that would be, haha).

Overall, it looks like a competitive application from my personal perspective (notice I’m not an admissions officer, so take my evaluation for what it’s worth). It’s now up to you to make yourself stand out above the thousands of others in your same position.

Edit: sorry, accidental double post
