I got a letter yesterday from Wash U. that I wouldn't be getting any financial aid :( I was so excited when I got in, but now I don't think I will be able to attend without financial aid. Is it possible for me to call someone in the financial aid office and ask for a financial aid decision re-appeal?

Call. Be nice. State your case. I think they will try to do what they can. Do not count on anything but it does not hurt to ask especially if that is the school you really want to attend

The financial aid office at WashU will try to work with you as much as possible. You should call, ask to speak with Mr Bill Witbrodt, head of the office - he has been very helpful in the past. You can reach him at 1-888-547-6670 or 314-935-5900. Have a plan before you call. Explain your situation and then have a well though out presentation as to why you need and should get financial aid from WashU. Pre determine a figure that you need in order to attend. Don't just call saying I need financial aid. They have made it work in the past and hopefully will be able to work out something for you. Just do it as quickly as possible - at this stage it does tend to be first come first served basis.

has any financial aid info been posted online?
