Re-evaluation of financial aid...

<p>Response: I used the words "more money OR lower tuition." They are not incompatible.</p>

<p>What I got out of that remark was that by saying something about the low endowment you are acknowledging a funding problem, yet you think that they should hand out more money. The compatibility isn't between money or tuition but rather between saving money and spending money.</p>

<p>I sent CMU offers of $20000 from Rose Hulman and $21000 from Case and they raised my aid from $16000 to $21000, so I'm pretty happy with that. I wonder how they determine whose offers to match and whose not to, because I know a lot of other people have tried to use offers from Case and not succeeded.</p>

<p>Of course they don't want to match Case, because Case gives very generous financial aid.</p>
