Re-visit days

Has anyone done their re-visit days yet?

Have mine next week

Went to Episcopal yesterday. Parents and students met at reception and then the kids went to 4 classes while the parents toured dorms, met teachers and attended chapel. I wasn’t expecting the unbelievably amazing singers–those kids could belt out the Doobie Brothers really well! There were separate luncheons for the students and the parents. Everyone (students) got a tee shirt. Upon arrival they passed out a directory with photos, hometowns of all the attendees. It was very nicely done. Finally there was a student panel of seniors (where parents finally saw their kids) and outside there was an informal sports and activities meet and greet where coaches and team captains etc could answer any questions. The whole thing went from 10-3:30 and everyone was so nice. It was definitely more relaxed than the interviewing process.

It was great but I have to say the whole thing was really exhausting. It is so much to take in! Some other friends also did revisits starting this week and they were also wiped out by the end of the day.

One parent I know was pressured at revisit to sign the contract. We were not but I wondered if that was typical.

Don’t wear heels, moms. It’s a lot of walking.
