Realistic Options

Hi, I'm a rising Senior, and I constantly get different opinions about where I can legitimately get in.

Pretty much everyone knows I really want to go to Duke and have wanted to since probably the fifth grade. Additionally, I am interested in UofIllinois, UNC, UCLA, Cornell, Columbia, UofRochester, McGill, and other schools of roughly the same level.

I go to a suburban Boston public school.
My GPA is 4.6ish weighted and I expect to finish top 5 out of my class of 100 (possibly salutatorian but not likely).

I took the SAT once in March and got a 2120--610 R (ew, I know), 730 M, 760 W.
I am going to take the SAT again in October and expect to boost my score by at least 100, shooting for 800 M.
Subject SATs: planning on taking 2 or 3, Math II looking for 800, Biology, and US History

Throughout high school, I will have taken 6 APs (this is the max my school offers), and I'm hoping for 5s on History, Lang, and Bio from May, but I may have gotten a 4 on atleast one of them.

My schedule has essentially been the hardest possible at my school. 3 honors and 3 APs this year was most challenging possible.

Russian was my first language, and I was born in Russia (moved here when I was 3). I am going to elaborate on this in my essay which is about being Russian in America. Will be very strong.

Very strong letters of rec.

Best EC's-
I've dedicated a lot of my time to basketball. Will have 3 years varsity (likely Captain next year), and I played club basketball year round.
National Honor Society Treasurer
President of Investment Club
Member of Chess Club
Will have upwards of 100 volunteer hours by application time.
Coached youth basketball team freshman, junior, and senior year.
I want to start a Math team next year at my school.
Pre-Calculus Math award. Highest level math class for my grade, and I got distinguished as the best student.

So, how do my chances look for these schools? Highly considering applying Duke ED.

Go for it, no one can tell you your true chances and how you might be looked at in the eye’s of admissions. It looks like you have taken full advantage of what your school has had to offer, so you should have nothing to lose by applying.

Read <a href=“Before you ask which colleges to apply to, please consider - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1621234-before-you-ask-which-colleges-to-apply-to-please-consider-p1.html</a> . You need to know what your price limit is and whether schools on your list are realistically affordable after financial aid and scholarships, among other things.
