I'm beyond stressed making my college decision. I can't stop researching and though that may sound good to a certain degree, I have gone way overboard and am starting to place too much emphasis on unimportant details. I've probably read over 200 student reviews for each and keep focusing on the negative ones.

I have been accepted to a number of top notch universities including Clemson, Indiana, and North Carolina. Frankly though, the one I liked the best after visiting was a much lower ranked University. I don't know if I should go with my top choice personally or choose a school that has the prestige factor.

Any advice on reducing stress and being comfortable with my decision? I want to be happy the next four or five years. I want to love my school and have pride in it. I don't want to regret the choice.

Wasn’t your decision supposed to be in a month ago? I’ve never been one for the prestige factor. If your family can afford all your options then select the one you think is the best fit.

I agree with Erin’s dad. You can second guess yourself on everything, but there’s no joy in living like that. Unless finances are an issue, go with the one that feels right to you.

? Didn’t you choose on May 1st?

Rankings don’t really matter… It’s what you do at the college that matters. In fact, the schools that rank highest in the amount of PhDs earned are not in the Ivies. So ranking doesn’t matter much.

And I hate to burst your bubble, but your schools are pretty equal in prestige (or lack thereof).

So, I’m guessing you’re tempted to go to Indiana but are pushed toward UNC-CH?
I’d pick UNC-Ch vs. Indiana for the town and the weather, but ymmv, this is a STRICTLY personal choice. What “feels” right?
if you already picked (may 1st deadline), are you reconsidering your choice? Why did you make that choice in the first place?
You need to give us a few more details.
