Received email about interviews, no word from interviewer?

I recently received an email from Princeton admissions notifying me that I would be contacted by an alumni interviewer. I was given the interviewer’s contact info. It has been 10 days since I received that email, and I have not heard anything from the alumni interviewer. What should I do? Should I email the admissions office or email the interviewer directly?

Is it considered a no-no to email the interviewer myself?

I think you should email them. Say that admissions told you that they were your interviewer, then tell them when you’re available (evenings and weekends for example).

This happened to me with a couple of interviewers and they both thanked me for being proactive and “reminding” them, haha.

@feyfey Thanks! I emailed the guy, and he responded promptly. It’s all sorted out now.

awesome!

I’m currently having this problem - Princeton admissions notified me 5 days ago about my interviewer; I haven’t been contacted yet by my interviewer though. Is 5 days too short? If so, how long should I wait before reaching out to my interviewer?

@741236985‌ (That is quite the username! haha) I think you should wait a bit more before emailing.

@741236985‌ FWIW: I applied EA to Princeton and the interviewer didn’t contact me until two weeks after the initial interview notification. My guess is that they have many students to interview and they will get to you soon.
