He has not looked at Bard, and just recently looked at on paper… he is wondering why the heck he overlooked it… it looks like really close to what he wants. The writing and theater programs looks great! I happened to look at some of the faculty there and they will knock your socks off. It seems like a close cousin to Kenyon. I recently read a great article written by a Bard alum entitled " Is Bard the new Brown". It was interesting. We will check it out more thoroughly for sure.

Great tfm… Glad it helps… sometimes these school forums can be quiet, and all the small LAC’s can all run together after awhile. My kids have all been the small LAC type, so I have seen quite a few in my day. Thank goodness this is my last S:) You would think it would have gotten easier by now, but…nope! This kid started out wanting a BFA in theater. He has about a bizillion hours spent on theater over the course of his life. He has won some National Awards and also done some prestigious summer programs. He literally floored me when he changed his mind recently to the BA. Don’t get me wrong, I would have supported him either way, but I personally like the BA ( FOR THIS KID). So, he then narrowed it down to small rural schools, and a theater dept that is very collaborative, energized, daring, and unafraid of pushing the envelope. A theater dpet, that wasn’t full of all theater kids, but a diverse mix of out of the box thinkers, writers, artists, poets, etc. Great faculty that will support you in any direction you want to go. Where everyone is unique, but not in your face trying to hard to be unique…they just are. To him Kenyon had all of that and more. After getting his BA, I am pretty after that he will then be ready for a great MFA program
