Hi. I live in India and i will be applying to universities for fall of 2019.
I have a A1 grade and a 90+ percent in the national examinations which has a gpa equivalent of 4.0
My recent SAT score is 1450 but i am planning to take another one.
I have been in the top 5% of my school all years in high school .
I have given 2 AP’s - Calculus AB and Statistics.
For extra curriculars i was on the student board of my school. I have qualified many maths olympiads including national math talent competition.
I did a course in classical singing and dancing .
I am also a part of Rotary and JCI and was a part of many different projects.
Can u please recommend some safety schools and those which give a good financial aid to international applicants?
Tentative academic inteterests?
How much money can your family contribute to your college education?
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a “safety” school for international students needing significant financial aid. So many outstanding students apply from India (and that is your competition - students from Asia in general and India in particular) that every school is a “reach.” You will have to apply widely, and look for schools that give merit aid based on test scores. Check out the International Students forum on this site for ideas. If you’re female, definitely consider all-women’s schools.
Try to up your SAT score and hope for an academic excellence scholarship from UT Dallas
