So to repeat the discussion title, I’d like to know if colleges accept recommendation letters from private tutors. I only attended high school for about a year and was homeschooled for a considerable amount of time. So the majority of my interactions were with private tutors and they’re the ones who know me more than the teachers at school. And frankly, I’m not comfortable asking for a recommendation from a person I barely know. So please let me know if this is acceptable. I know other people who’ve done it but I don’t know how the admissions committee will see it. TIA!!
Were the tutors paid? Would they be paid to do the recommendations?
This would be best if they were more like teachers (had multiple homeschooled students, had a specific schedule, graded you).
This might help, and you can look for a similar page at colleges you are interested in.

Yeah they do all that. Tons of other students and yeah they grade all of them. Thank you!
