Can anyone possibly post a copy of this? Thanks!
I do NOT open links posted on this site. Could you please tell what this is about?
I assume it’s this subject, which is hot right now due to the release of the 2016 Tuition Discounting Study from the National Association of College and University Business Officers. The average institutional tuition discount rate for first-time, full-time students hit an estimated 49.1 percent in 2016-17, up from 48 percent the previous year. For all undergraduates, the average institutional tuition discount rate rose to an estimated 44.2 percent, up from 43 percent.
Both rates are all-time highs for the NACUBO study, breaking records. Tuition discount rate: institutional grant dollars as a percentage of gross tuition and fee revenue.
Major reasons cited in the study for the increased discounting: “Students and families have continued to have higher financial needs in the years after the Great Recession than they did before it; competition for new students is growing as demographic trends point to a declining number of high school graduates in many parts of the country.”
I couldn’t open it as it is subscription only, but @Zinhead posted a similar article on a thread in Parents Forum
