<p>Depends on if you’re actually going to listen to any of it again.</p>
<p>Also, make sure you check your school’s policy on recording devices. At my school you had to get special permission to use them.</p>
<p>^^^ That’s good advice. Some professors don’t like having their lectures recorded due to intellectual property rights. Many will only allow it if you have a documented disability that necessitates you recording it.</p>
<p>Personally, I don’t think recording a 3 hour lecture would be the beneficial. Paying close attention, and being proficient at note taking is better in my opinion. I’d never have time to relisten to lectures. I’ve got too much other stuff going on.</p>
