i got another nice call from a HADES school… they said i was in their top 5 EVEN WITH POST GRADS… is this good?

of course its good they are saying that you as good as kids who going to play in college

hahah thx bud

i juts got calls from some other schools in HADES

wont specify (HCO u already know)

at the hades school

im currently in the top 5 at one of them and top 3 in another

but peddie im #1 on their list =) im so happy rite now. of course ik im not garunteed in, im pretty sure this could be considered a hook rite?

For the record (again), admission officers do not make deals with other schools on whom to accept/reject/waitlist. Admission officers from different schools are not in contact with one another comparing names of applicants before March 10th. It would be highly unethical for one thing, and against anti-trust laws for another. Moreover, when would they ever have the time to do that with all the applications they have to read themselves?

After April 10th (the deadline by which accepted students must say ‘yes’ to their chosen schools and say ‘no’ to any other schools which accepted them), some admission offices confer with one another and do share information to see if there was any applicant overlap and which schools those overlapping applicants ultimately chose. At that point all decisions have been finalized (by both the schools and the families) so sharing information is just to help us all analyze our respective results.

thank you everyone for so much feedback… you have been so great!!

Exeter, Andover, SPS, Deerfield, Choate, Loomis, and Peddie have all showed great interest!!

Bravo!!! LOL

b’.’ <- now that thumbs up looks better  b’.’ Good for you!

haha thanks… Peddie told me I was their #1 recruit underclassmen which I think is a good sign…

But i’m not sure about this one… It sounds a little off, not that interested… what do you think?

well he sent 2 emails

first one

, received your DVD and liked what I saw. As a sophomore repeat, you have great potential to play at the next level if you continue to work hard. In any case, we would love to have you here at *. I will make every effort to have that happen! Don’t hesitate to gt in touch if you have any questions

second email

, football can’t hurt! I will put you on my sophomore list and it will get you a good look! Pre-season usually starts after Labor Day - hope to see you then; although I come your way in the summer as we have a house in Ca… All the best…

He sounds intereseted, but it seems more like ur good but ur not good ya know?

bro crh is a better school than peddie go to the school that really wants you not the one that is interested but doesnt really want you like crh does i would go there much better school kids seem happy there

dude the email above is from deerfield. choate was the first one… i think choate wants me the most after peddie but then again i could be wrong… i just hope i get in

oops bro i feel so stupid whatever who cares its DA right youll be in the middle of nowhere haha **** i feel dumb

GemmaV, are you working for a boarding school or an education consultant? If so you may have an answer to my question: why do coaches send out letters at this point? Wouldn’t the applicants have to wait until March 10 to make a decision when all offers are in anyway? Do they expect a student of their interest to make a commitment prior to March 10? If the admission offices don’t communicate with each other before March, would the coaches from different schools communicate so they could decide whom to recurit?

hco ur rite deerfield is in the middle of nowhere… sooo 600 views wow i feel special lol. so hows everyone’'s app going

So I assume when it comes to athelete recruiting, the “horse trading” does occure. All the reason for parents to pay the private coaches and drive kids around for games - it’ll pay off! ;)

Bump 10char

I got a similar one for exeter volleyball, even though I didn’t apply for volleyball and I haven’t even played volleyball in my life! I think it was to the wrong person…

Anyways, I’m pretty sure it’s something good if they are pretty much saying they have a place for you, but I don’t think it is a recruitment letter.
