Recs: handwritten or printed?

Should i ask my teacher to write the recommendation by hand or just print it?

Since I guess that you will be applying to several schools, it would be more efficient to use a printed version, unless your teacher wants to write an entirely different recommendation for each college.

Since i have come to the conclusion that printing my recs is the best option, all that is left to be done is to find a freeware PDF editor. Does anyone have one of those? PM me if you do please. I will add you to the list of people i pray for every evening.

Recommendations are usually typed out separately, not on the document itself...so why do you need a PDF editor? My teachers requested one common app rec and just photocopied it as many times as necessary...and then wrote one rec and photocopied that as many times as necessary. No need to edit anything on the computer. :)
Of course, for the MIT app I printed out one copy per teacher and they just checked off whatever needed to be checked off and then attatched the letter to the sheet. You don't need to type into the space under the questions. :)
